Thanks for downloading this issue! This month we have an interview with Doug from Bungie, he did the voice of the "Bob" character. Deanna finishes up her Virtual Tour of Silicon Valley, and has time to Compare & Contrast Microsoft Internet Explorer along with the other browsers. Pi talks about how to measure the speed on your Macintosh and compare it with PC models, and Mike Huang reviews a bunch of HyperCard products.
Did you like the cover? As you can see we will be reviewing two major movies in which Apple plays both a minor and a major role. As for news, I've worked hard this month to bring you up to date on all of the news that is going on. As you can tell, a lot has happened this month with some major computing corporations are announcing their quarter earnings.
Be sure to check out our complete web page, this one actually has the promised material there. Selected reviews, links, and part of my column is there too. You can also download the shareware we review in this EZine. I have made it easier on you to download. Our new download page features back issues, current issues, useful items, bookmarks related to the 'zine and more. Also included is a links page where you can surf through without having to download our bookmarks page.
Since we're on the subject of the web, I might as well tell you that I finally got around to doing something many of you have asked for. When you see a URL (like the one at the bottom of this page) open Netscape and connect then click on the URL. You'll automatically fly to the web site that is listed there! Pretty cool, huh? I thought so. Be sure to check out some new stuff I've added. It's not really new, I've had the URL stuff and the side bars in mind since about #4 (it was first part of the new look) but at that time the 'zine was too big to include the extra features and art.
Have you heard about the Power Computing PowerCenter? Find out all about it and discover an interesting URL in Kirk McPike's Cloning Around. Maybe you missed Clint Howard last month, but don't worry he's back with The Proficient Gamer. Clint also tackles a lot of reviews this month, including the Iomega Zip drive, Sony SRS Speakers, Thrustmaster, DUST: A Tale of the Wired West, and Ambrosia's new Swoop.
